Technical Manager
Chanier is the Technical Manager for Cantech Environmental Solutions Inc. In his role, Chanier manages the inbound analysis of client materials, after which he develops field scale solutions. In doing so, Chanier is able to develop an accurate and detailed approach to solving problems, even after our clients have tried unsuccessfully on their own. Before he co-founded Cantech Environmental, Chanier was employed by Terrapure Environmental (previously Newalta Corp.), where he also served as Technical Manager, carrying out the same responsibilities for the past 10 years. In addition to this role, he previously worked with several Oil Sands related companies including Suncor, Syncrude and Shell Canada. Chanier graduated from the University of Toronto with two MSc degrees, one in Analytical Chemistry and a second in Biophysics. He also held quality assurance and statistical process control roles at General Motors Canada and was previously a high school teacher. In his leisure time, Chanier enjoys various forms of exercise and researching human physiology and molecular cell biology.
